Our Journey
My name is Maria Daskalaki, and I was born in 1979 in Chania, Crete.
In 2005, although my professional focus was in a completely different field, an injury and a failed orthopedic surgery led me to enroll in vocational school in the specialization of Physiotherapy Assistant, in order to better understand the possibilities for rehabilitating my own condition.
Through my engagement with the courses and laboratory work, the syndromes that had developed were eliminated, and my gait returned to normal. This experience became the catalyst for discovering the multiple benefits of massage and led me to begin working as a massage therapist in a hotel.
One year after my graduation, I moved abroad, where I completed training as a Spa Therapist and Spa Manager. Starting in Sweden, I worked in numerous resorts around the world, gaining the opportunity to study the role of wellness and massage across different cultures and countries. During my visits back to Greece, I also studied Reiki and was initiated to the 2nd degree as an energy therapist in this technique.
After eight years of successful professional growth and development, I returned to my hometown for family reasons and resumed working in the tourism sector. At the same time, I attended three additional specializations at the vocational school in my city—Nursing Assistant, Pharmacy Assistant, and Beauty Assistant—considering these essential knowledge areas to support and enhance my professional activity.
In private schools in Chania, Athens, and Thessaloniki, I pursued various trainings focused on the specific philosophies and techniques of massage, as well as two additional energy-based techniques: Crystal Therapy and the Arcturian Healing Method. My knowledge was further enriched by my education in Onuri Medicine and the Su Jok system, which includes, among other practices, reflexology-based acupuncture.
In 2019, I created the Centaurius Massage, a combination of styles, techniques, and products within a single session to maximize benefits for both relaxation and the stimulation of all body systems, while also balancing emotions through energy flow during the session.
In 2020, I launched my own business, MassageBodySpirit, where I exclusively offer the Centaurius Massage in full-body and facial sessions, customizing each combination according to the needs and preferences of the client.
Today, the Centaurius Massage enjoys widespread acclaim, as each session is tailored to the individual at that specific moment, fully addressing their needs for relaxation and the release of both body and mind tension.
I continue to train in specialized techniques, as I believe that each session can always offer something more, given the knowledge and dedication of the therapist in this wonderful journey into the world of wellness.
